    MONTECHIARI – BRUT AREA OF PRODUCTION: Montecarlo (Lucca). ELEVATION: 200 m a.s.l. SUN EXPOSURE: southeast. POSITION: hilly. SOIL COMPOSITION: medium-mixtured soil, sandy and rich in bone. GRAPE VARIETIES:100% pinot noir, 30-year-old vineyards. HARVEST: hand harvest when grapes are ripe. SELECTION TABLE: manual. VINIFICATION: thermo-controlled temperature. FERMENTATION: in bottle for at least 18 months. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12,5% SERVING TEMPERATURE: serve at 4°-6° C. FOOD MATCHES: excellent aperitif. Particularly good with fish or desserts. It can be consumed throughout the meal. TASTING NOTES: COLOR: faint pink tones. NOSE: typical varietal characters, with delicate and lively fruity notes. Spicy tones and delicate but strong woody scents. PALATE: medium tannic structure, but soft, elegant and refined. The finish is lingering with a round and persistent aftertaste. On opening, this elegant sparkling wine offers its extremely fine perlage and delicate pink, crystalclear colour to a soft and expressive nose, also wery well marked and refined. The fruit texture is keen but pervasive. Noble has been the role of leavens. Progression and profiling generate a delicious and superior palate. A freshly acid note can be suddenly perceived. Delight and pleasure are always present.
